Stuck!!

I am really stuck on what colour to make the borders of this blue quilt...I can't find anything that works....this is the wrong green and pink but what about white....it's for an adult so that dirt factor doesn't really count....help someone please!!! I'm really not happy with these photos...at night in the bedroom with fluorescent lights!


I'm thinking with the white I could get some blue variegated cotton to quilt it...does anyone know where I can get some from??

'Signature' quilting threads do a variegated blue which I'm using at the moment. My local quilt shops usually have it in stock. Or, have you thought about a navy border?

Here is it....sorry it is late!! I thought I had another day to go!! What happenend to Tuesday?? {3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
