Bad Mummy Moment # 54

Less than 24hrs after the last Bad Mummy moment...*sigh*

Mummy upstairs sweeping the floor...Aden downstairs playing...

Aden comes to the bottom of the stairs TV remote in hand..."Hey your not supossed to have that"...it is then that Mummy realises that the remote has water running out of it....follow the water drops to the back door to discover that Aden has taken the TV remote for a swim in the dog's water bowl....Bad Mummy should have been watching more carefully...or at least put the remote where Aden couldn't reach it....or shut the back door properly....

Bad Mummy!!!

Let's hope it dries out and will still work!



Edited to Add: Yes it still works!! Thank goodness!!

At least he didn't eat dog food! That would have been worse! I can still remember Grace's breath after I caught her chowing down on cat pellets once at a similar age, GROSS!!!

Oh no! Put the remote in a big bowl of uncooked rice that will help get the excess moisture out. It works with phones and other electronics that get wet too depending on how soon after and how waterlogged they are. Good luck!

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
