Spring Flowers

I've always wanted to go to the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers so today we did! Aden and I went with my MIL to see all the blooms. They were beautiful and felt very 'spring' despite the cool 13 degree weather! I took heaps of photos...here are a few of my favourites!

Part of the carnival was a 'Side Show Alley'...Aden's first look at anything like this...he was mesmerised by the noise and colour. He loved watching the kids go on the rides.

The Competition Gardens were beautiful. This one came 2nd in the small garden section...but it was my favourite

Two of the gardens we went to had little bridges....Aden loved trip-tramping over them! He even tried to look for trolls underneath!



Don't forget to stop and smell the roses every now and then!

Here is it....sorry it is late!! I thought I had another day to go!! What happenend to Tuesday?? {3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Bloggers Quilt Festival - Spring 2010

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
